The Mad Max Premium Edge Ceramic Dining Table by Cattelan Italia, designed by Paolo Cattelan, elevates contemporary dining with a sophisticated blend of sculptural architecture, luxurious materials, and exceptional Italian craftsmanship. Featuring the iconic Mad Max base paired with an exclusive Premium Edge ceramic top, this statement piece combines bold design with refined detailing.
The table’s sculptural “Double X” steel base features intersecting V-shaped legs that provide exceptional stability while delivering a dynamic, modern aesthetic. This architecture shifts in appearance depending on your vantage point in the room—looking robust and solid from the side, but revealing open, airy negative space when viewed from the ends. The steel is available in embossed, textured lacquer coatings (such as Titanium, Bronze, Graphite, or Black) or premium hand-brushed Brushed Bronze or Brushed Grey metallics.
The top is made from Cattelan Italia’s elite Marmi Ceramic, available in a massive selection of matte or glossy configurations (such as Glossy Sahara Noir, Breccia, Golden Calacatta, and Alabastro). The premium ceramic top showcases the beauty of natural stone-inspired surfaces with outstanding durability, resistance to scratches, heat, and everyday wear. The combination of refined materials and dramatic proportions creates a perfect balance between functionality and artistic design.
The Premium Edge design scales the luxury up significantly by introducing a thick, hand-brushed rounded lower profile (either in Brushed Bronze or Brushed Grey metal). This extra structural framing gives the table a substantial, multi-layered look (2” thick on the 94 ½" size and 2 ½" thick on the 118” size).
