The Marathon Glass Dining Table (designed by Andrea Lucatello for Cattelan Italia) is a masterfully engineered showpiece that explores architectural tension and organic grace. Because it uses a crystal-clear glass surface, the table is designed to put its stunning, complex base on full display. 

The standout element of the Marathon is its poetic, kinetic base design. Rather than rigid vertical posts, the wooden legs mimic flexible branches or elastic bands that curve inwards and cross gracefully in the center. This creates an elegant, sinuous flow that feels light and dynamic, yet structurally grounded. The primary curved legs are crafted from premium solid wood, forming a wood arch. It is available in rich Canaletto Walnut, mature Burned Oak stained ashwood, or striking Open Pore Matt Black painted ashwood. These organic wooden shapes are bound and anchored together by an architectural framework of lacquered steel. This trim can be finished in textured embossed colors (Titanium, Black, or Bronze) or high-end metallics (Brushed Bronze or Brushed Grey). This beautiful base delivers both structural integrity and striking visual contrast. The combination of glass, wood, and metal creates a refined balance of warmth and modern sophistication.

The glass top can come in: 1. Clear Glass: The standard option, featuring a classic, slight green-tinted edge profile. 2. Extra Clear Glass: Iron-filtered for absolute crystalline transparency, ensuring the wood grain underneath is viewed without any color distortion. 3. Beveled Extra Clear Glass: The pinnacle choice, featuring a reverse-beveled chamfered edge that brilliantly catches and refracts room lighting.
