The Planer CrystalArt dining table, designed by Paolo Cattelan for Cattelan Italia, is a striking expression of contemporary Italian design. Building on the iconic architectural base of the Planer collection, this version replaces traditional wood or ceramic surfaces with a stunning, digitally printed glass top that transforms the table into a true work of art.

Its defining feature is the 12 mm extra-clear tempered glass top. Rather than using plain or frosted glass, Cattelan Italia applies an exclusive artistic print to the underside of the glass, creating remarkable depth and vibrancy. Because the design is printed on iron-free, extra-clear glass—which eliminates the green tint commonly found in standard glass—the colors appear exceptionally rich and luminous. The abstract marbling and mineral-inspired patterns catch and reflect light beautifully, changing in character as you move around the table.

The top is available in two distinctive finishes. CY01 features warm shades of amber, gold, and creamy mineral veining, creating an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere. CY02 offers a more dramatic palette of slate gray, charcoal, and silver, giving the table a contemporary, architectural presence.

Adding to its refined appearance is the reverse-beveled edge around the perimeter of the glass. This subtle angled cut captures the light and creates a crystal-like border, softening the transition between the top and the base while showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the piece.

Supporting this floating glass surface is the signature Planer steel base, an architectural composition of intersecting trestles set at dynamic angles. Rather than relying on conventional four-corner legs, the design creates visual movement from every perspective while keeping the structure concentrated toward the center. The result is both sculptural and practical, offering generous legroom and unobstructed seating around the table.

The base is available in a range of finishes, including textured embossed lacquers in Titanium, Bronze, Graphite, and Black, as well as hand-finished premium options in Brushed Bronze and Brushed Grey, allowing the table to complement both warm and contemporary interiors.
