The Scott Premium Edge Ceramic Dining Table elevates contemporary dining with a bold sculptural base and a refined ceramic surface. The generously proportioned top in matte Portoro ceramic showcases rich veining and natural stone character while offering exceptional durability, heat resistance, and everyday practicality. A distinctive brushed bronze Premium Edge detail frames the top, adding warmth and a sophisticated metallic accent.
If the standard Scott Keramik is a sleek exercise in minimalist modernism, the Scott Ceramic (Keramik) Premium takes that exact same architectural silhouette and injects it with a heavy dose of monumental luxury. Designed by Studio 28 for Cattelan Italia, this version completely changes the relationship between the stone top and the room. By framing the ceramic slab within a massive, hand-finished metallic border, the table suddenly transforms from a floating surface into a commanding, substantial gallery piece designed to anchor your grandest spaces.
The absolute defining feature of the Premium edition is its tabletop profile. Instead of a standard, thin exposed ceramic edge, the top is enveloped in a massive, substantial lower frame.
This thick under-rim is painstakingly hand-brushed in either Brushed Bronze or Brushed Grey. It wraps entirely around the ceramic like a high-end jewelry setting, catching the ambient lighting and creating a soft, warm metallic glow around the table's perimeter. Depending on the size of the table you order, this frame is a staggering 5 to 6 cm thick. This completely shifts the table’s energy, tricking the eye into thinking the table is constructed from a solid, monolithic slab of framed stone, giving the piece a profound and luxurious weight in the room.
The heavy framed top rests on the iconic Scott pedestal base. Instead of standard legs or a simple cylinder, the base is formed by two curved, overlapping metal plates. The metal plates are cleverly shaped to mimic the crisp, folded look of a tailored shirt collar. It creates a rigid, highly architectural optical effect with well-defined edges that play beautifully with shadows throughout the day. While available in standard embossed lacquers (like Textured Titanium), Cattelan Italia introduced a bespoke finish perfectly suited for this base called Oxybrass. It is a completely hand-brushed, oxidized brass finish that subtly darkens as it sweeps toward the floor, giving the cold industrial metal an incredibly rich, tonal depth that pairs beautifully with the hand-brushed table edge.
