Twins Extension Dining Table

By Calligaris | Designer: Archirivolto

The Twins Extension Dining Table Quickship by Calligaris, designed by Archirivolto, is a bold and contemporary centerpiece that blends sculptural form with everyday functionality. Defined by its softly rounded rectangular top and distinctive dual-base structure, the table creates a strong architectural presence while maintaining visual balance and elegance.

The defining characteristic of the Twins table is its bold, asymmetric base, which anchors the room while retaining an incredible sense of lightness. The base is composed of two curved and molded sheet-metal elements positioned asymmetrically opposite one another. These two "wings" reflect light beautifully and create the optical illusion that the heavy table top is effortlessly taking flight. By utilizing a sharply defined elliptical (oval) profile, the table softens the architectural flow of a room. The central pedestal design also maximizes legroom, ensuring that no guest ever has to straddle an awkward corner leg.

Calligaris is a master of fluid mechanical engineering. The Twins features a seamless, hidden coplanar extension system. The central leaves are stowed directly beneath the top; with a smooth pull, they twist into position and lock perfectly flush with the main surface. This allows the table to grow effortlessly without needing to move the heavy central base.  The 65”-95” can accommodate 6 to 10 people while the 79”-116.5” can accommodate 8 to 12 people.

The Twins Extension Table is the ultimate solution for homeowners who love to entertain but want a table with a massive visual impact. The oval shape makes it exceptionally well-suited for open-concept living areas or tighter spaces where sharp rectangular corners might disrupt daily foot traffic, while the bold base ensures it remains a conversational piece even when not in use.
