Yoda Round Dining Table

The Yoda Round Dining Table expresses sculptural balance through clean geometry and refined finishes. If there is one absolute truth about Cattelan Italia’s famous Yoda collection, it is the base that is considered a masterpiece of modern geometry. While putting a solid slab of wood or stone on top creates a beautiful table, it inevitably hides a portion of that incredible architecture. The standard Yoda Round (designed by Paolo Cattelan) is for the purist. It is designed specifically to frame and showcase the iconic truncated cone base from absolutely every angle, turning your dining room into a transparent, light-filled gallery space.
The absolute soul of the Yoda collection is its striking central pedestal. Instead of standard corner legs or a basic cylinder, the base is a massive, heavy-duty truncated cone crafted from steel. The genius of the Yoda design is its "neck." As the robust metal cone rises from the floor, it tapers drastically inward just before it meets the tabletop. Because the glass top is completely see-through, you get to fully experience this brilliant shadowline, making the heavy glass look as though it is floating weightlessly above the base. Without a heavy, colorful top to distract from it, the metal finish you choose becomes the star of the room. You can ground the heavy look of the base with highly textured, light-catching embossed steel finishes like Titanium, Graphite, Pearl, or Black. For a more glamorous contrast, you can elevate it to the gorgeous, hand-brushed Satin Titanium.
Cattelan Italia treats their glass tops with the same reverence as their natural stones. The table features a massive, 15 mm thick tempered glass top. You can order the top in standard clear glass, which has that classic, subtle green tint along the polished edge. However, if you want pure, icy transparency, the Extra-Clear glass option is iron-filtered to remove all green hues, leaving a totally colorless, crystal-like surface that allows you to look straight down into the heart of the metal base. The perimeter of the glass features a beautifully reverse-beveled edge. This slanted cut catches ambient room lighting and creates a brilliant, gleaming halo around the perimeter of the table. Yes, a pure glass table means you will be wiping up fingerprints and smudges more frequently than you would on a heavily patterned ceramic top. But in exchange, you get a breathtaking sculptural centerpiece that takes up absolutely zero visual weight in your room.
The Yoda Round table is built for a homeowner who wants to make a serious architectural statement without visually cluttering their home. It is undeniably modern and crisp. It allows your stunning dining chairs, your rug, and the iconic "floating" metal cone to remain fully visible at all times, creating a highly social dining hub that feels effortlessly bright, spacious, and sophisticated.
